This park was really dirty. Not nice at all. There was trash everywhere. There were crazies and druggies parked in a parking lot really close to the park. Just not a nice place. It's like the park that the city and the police choose to ignore. This could be a nice place if the city chose to clean it up... More

We wanted to come here so I could get some sunset pictures. Unfortunately it was cloudy so I was not able to get very many. Regardless, this park was dirty and sketchy. There were multiple cars in the parking lot that just had people sitting in them and not doing anything. When other people showed up and got out, we... More

This place seems small, "banal" and boring but it is a PERFECT Place for Sunset Photography. I'm a photography lover and I love to capture sunset moments in this place. A natural treasure! It's also perfect for a small walk.

We spent an hour or so visiting Fort Nathan Hale and Black Rock Fort in New Haven. We were the only visitors that day....at least while we were there. It is too bad this place is not being refurbished like it should be. The people who were there, one volunteer and one town worker were wonderful. The nice gentleman gave... More

On the east side of New Haven Harbor, Fort Nathan Hale Park is a good option for a walk, picnic or simply looking out over the water. An expansive venue with a path and benches right along the water, it draws families from the surrounding residential area as well as trom the city of New Haven. Take I95 east out... More

It looks more interesting from a boat in the harbor than it actually is. if you are in the area, make the stop, but I wouldn't make a destination of it.

Woodward Avenue in New Haven is a lovely place. It is right off the Pearl Harbor Memorial bridge. Fort Hale Park is a great place to take your younger children for a Saturday morning visit. During the summer they have people working to give you information about the park. In the off season you can walk through yourself. It is... More
