There are many Little Italies in the Northeast. Some are festive and worth visiting, but this one is not. I can't find anything Italian here except a couple pizzerias. This neighborhood is largely residential and has almost nothing to offer.

We went to Pepe's for a take out pizza and had it on the bench on the corner and then strolled around. We walked on Chapel street to get to Wooster. There are some stately old style homes on Chapel to look at. Wooster is...More

All the old school Italian restaurants and pizza places, Pepe's, Sallys, Tony and Lucille's. Libby's Italian ice. A must see place when in New Haven.

This is a gem of New Haven. There are a bunch of delicious restaurants, though parking usually seems to be full. It looks gorgeous with the lights during winter time.

We came to New Haven to visit family and took a stroll through Little Italy, it looked like it was a really neat place once upon a time. Its sad ow deserted it is now, of course Pepe's pizzeria was busy and delicious.

The little Italy Arch in New Haven is located on the intersection of Depalma Ct and Wooster St. The Pepe pizzeria is really popular around. There were people waiting outside for a table on a Tuesday night.

We walked there from Yale University to go for some lunch, apart from Pepe's everywhere was closed! Wouldn't bother to go again, hardly anyone around in fact it was deserted so certainly no atmosphere.

It's probably not fair to say the Little Italy in small New Haven doesn't hold a candle to, say, Little Italy in massive New York, so I'll just say the one in CT was as expected. Not heaps of shops or restaurants, but enough to...More
