Nice little castle worth a short stop. But the views of the coast are fantastic so it is good to explore the sourounding paths above the cliff. Just 15 min away you can also visit a small underground cave . There is an altar in it and you can see it through iron gates, cave is open just on certain days.

Very evocative of the tussels between the Austro Hungarian Empire and those pescky Venetians of which this castle marks the dividing line.

Great viewpoint onto the Adriatic, spanning from Koper in Slovenia to Triest in Italy. Just a short drive off the motorway.

it's medioeval castle...with a fantastic small restaurant for a dozen of guests only. It offers a fantastic view on slovenian coastline and on city of Trieste in Italy. If you have time, go for a walk on the edge of a rocky wall. It's well worthed

Great views over the Adriatic bay, both the Italian and Slovenian side. The castle offers a small restaurant and cafe. There are also nice walking trails around.

Socerb is second class castle with just some preserved walls. But you have fantastic view from the walls. This is first class view, sometimes with some windy weather. You can visit an average restaurant in the castle. They have place for some individuals or a small group. You can walk around the castle or drive around with a bike. Short stop is recommended.

Amazing view of Trieste and Koper. You can drive right up to the castle. There's a restaurant, but it was closed when we were there and it's only possible to enter the castle as its guest. The castle itself is not impressive, but the view is marvelous.

Just a minute from highway. If you are in a hurry to seaside from mainland, take half an hour, stop here, take a view and rethink. Do you like it here by calm cosy rocky edge or do you really wnat to go down by crowdy noisy overdeveloped seaside?

The castle is a restaurant, the visit is possible but quick. It's not a real tourist stop.
