It's a great spot for the Daffodil Festival and Festival of Silver Lights. You can drive around it, and the park is usually pretty decently maintained (minimal litter). Lots of nice hiking trails, Castle Craig is also nice. Just another place to go!

Spring - Flowers are starting to open, over 600,000 daffodils on view
Summer - Ducks floating (and you can feed them), picnics abound, green grass to sit upon;
