Lots of directions to go & quiet vistas. Hardly ran into anyone else on the trails, which include everything from paved to dirt to rocky to root covered & wide to narrow. A lovely spot for a walk or casual hike.

Large boat landing area for small fishing boats, paddle boards and kayaks. Pretty busy on weekends but big enough area for some solitude in the water.

Took a walk on the path to the dam from Rte 6 entrance. Round trip is about 2 miles. Well paved. Beautiful view of the water and dam.

About 4 miles from University of Connecticut, this green gem of a reservoir yields great fishing. A picnic and walk through the woods makes winter seem far distant.

Hiked a piece of the Nipmunk trail, with going just a bit astray on a chilly day in November. Stone Arches owners know the trails well and copied a map for our use.

Mansfield's beautiful lake and location for cross country races or other activities at all times. Also boating and canoeing. And fishing.

Just a really nice place for outside activities. We go boating, fishing, hiking, biking, walking the dog, and having a picnic. Tables and grills available.

Large walking, strolling and, I think, many trails. I didn't go far (we were just walking the dogs, but it's a nice park. Picnic tables too.

Beautiful park to picnic at (they have tables and grills), also to walk and hike. You can't swim there, but they do allow kayaks and I believe small boats. Great for fishing too.

This is the perfect place to be outdoors. You can go boating, swimming, biking or have a cookout. They have a small beach area and picnic tables. There are trails for walking, horseback riding or cross country skiing in winter. I believe there is also...More
