Went here with two girlfriends on a Sunday afternoon. It was not crowded just before noon and we felt it was very clean. They bathrooms were very clean for a public beach. There was also a nice little playground area for the kiddos.
Off season this beach is very enjoyable and easy. Can bring dogs and park but during season you need a beach sticker or pay big $ for parking. Beware- you can not park on the street at all or you will get a huge fine....More

I love walking along this beach, be it in winter or summer. When the tide is low, we can walk to the lighthouse. There is a parking lot, a shower to clean the feet, a park for the children, restrooms and some food for sale....More
My favorite go to place to sit and unwind on the beach. The sand is gritty and heavy, but clean. The seagulls are not people shy and relax around you. The new Penfield Pavilion is lovely and sells snacks during the open season.
