First off I feel guilty giving any small brewery a less than very good rating because I love beer, think brewing is cool and want to support small business BUT I have been here twice and have been underwhelmed by the beer each time. The...More

I found a Groupon recently for "Tasting for two and pint glass" for a pretty nominal price. We went yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed our visit! Everyone was so friendly and conversant and the beer tasted great. Would definitely go back.

Had met someone a year before at the Starbucks down the street who told me to check these Guys out on the way to a Beer Trip in Vt! Finally had a chance and found it underwhelming. The space is nice and cozy. We ordered...More

Powder Hollow isn't just a beer place--and that's good. Thursdays bring in a local eatery to serve complimentary entrees from steam tables. So when we arrived with our Groupon worth a flight of tasters for 2 and free glasses to keep, we were pleasantly surprised...More

I had to ask why the name "Powder Hollow." Apparently 40% of the powder used in the Civil War was manufactured in this area. Interesting. This little brewery makes good craft beers. A lot of beers being made now tend to concentrate on hops and...More

This small brewery puts out some really good small batch craft beers, and being very local makes it easier to experience all their seasonal and experimental batches. I love their Russian Imperial Stout. My friend loves the West Coast Citrus IPA. A welcome addition

The beer here is good and you can get an inexpensive beer flight of 4. However they do not serve food other than bags of chips. Once a week they host a restaurant to come out and serve snacks. Sometimes they have music. The tasting...More
