We arrived early afternoon, so the early morning beach goers and 3 bus loads of kids were packing up for the day. The beach was clean with warm water and nice soft sand. The rest rooms were clean . No lifeguards thanks to our governor....More

We went to this beach recently and was glad it wasn't closed due to bacteria. Parking is pricey and if you like brown cold water, this is the place for you. No toys or rafts allowed in the water....I'm 34 years old and I was...More

I did a pig roast here for friends and the grounds are beautiful. There is a small beach and lots of picnic areas. The views are amazing. Get there early to get a good spot!

Came with friends who rave about this place and swear it's the best beach in CT. I have been as a child growing up but this was the first visit with kids of my own. Parking was $15 for me (NY) but $9 for CT...More

The beach gets crowded with mostly families. It is a small beach so when adults decide that being by the beach is not relaxing enough for them, that they have to light up to relax more...everyone around them notices and is bothered. There really should...More

We came here on our way back to New Jersey from Boston. This appeared to be the easiest beach to get too. You just pay for parking which is reasonably priced and a short walk to the beach. It has clean bathrooms and showers and...More

This is a nice beach and park to walk around. There are great wildlife to see and take pictures. This is the first time I have been here during beach season and it was crowded. But there seemed to be constant turnover in the crowd.

Was living in MA at the time & went to this place on a whim. My ex, his sisters, friends & I all had a blast. It was a great experience & very pretty!

Rocky Neck is a wonderful State Park. Great paved road through the woods that will take you to a good spot to enjoy the views along the Long Island Sound. There's marshes near the parking lot where we could observe many birds. Enjoy!

My boyfriend and I stopped here on our way to Mystic. It was off season so nothing extra was open, which is fine for us, we prefer a more quiet nature experience. The beach was nice and there was lots of rocks to climb on...More

Yes but not on the actual sand part of the beach, by the entry ways and up by the rock jetty.

It is not a long walk and it depends on where your camping area is.

Camping area has sufficient shade with the surrounding trees unless you are camping in the "tent" area which is out in the open. You would definitely need to bring your own shade for the beach.
