Just goes to show you what you can do with a little imagination and a lot of money. The State called it a castle but the owner called it home. Well thought out construction for a turn of the century home. High quality craftsmanship throughout...More

Gillette Castle is well worth the experience. A must for Sherlock Holmes fans. The park and grounds are well maintained with many walking/ hiking paths in addition to the castle. There is a charge to tour the castle, but the grounds are free.

Spent a few hours here just walking the grounds since we got her too late to see the inside of the castle but still well worth it. The views are spectacular. Will hopefully go back and see the inside. The grounds are beautiful by themselves....More

Super-cool turn of the century custom home. Hand-carved doors and woodworking. Outside is native stone and mortar. Excellent views of the river and surrounding land, e.g. Seven Sisters. Nice visitor center and snack bar are fairly new. Not a restaurant but decent food and drinks.

Eat before you get here. Food is substandard and expensive and service is awful. Very disorganized. We were waiting on a very simple order and it took forever because the staff couldn't finish the order, while a bunch of people were waiting in line.

Visited today. Had not been inside the Castle for years. It's always interesting to walk through. The grounds around the castle are beautiful and the views are breathtaking.
