I had no idea what to expect of this hike since I am a local and have never been before. Let me first say that the hike starts out very easy but you will be climbing and climbing higher and higher. I had no idea...More

Awesome place to hike. Great views. I don't know if it's dog friendly, but we've brought the dog many times and no one minded. There were many other dogs there too.

No surprise the brook was not roaring in December. Looking forward to more walk-abouts here in the spring. The parking is tight.

1. Out of the way- unless you combine this attraction with Blackies or maybe apple picking simply not worth a trip 2. Poor signage- it's a windy path up a series of exaggerated hills but not clearly marked and easy to wander off line. If...More

Roaring Brook Park is tucked away in a very residential spot, which makes it a nice hidden treasure. The hike to the top of the waterfall is only about 20 minutes if you take the trail; however it is an extreme incline and a wonderful...More

Roaring Brook Park is an unexpectadly beautiful hike culminating in multiple views of waterfalls (one large one and several smaller). The parking is at the end of a neighborhood in Cheshire, and has room for a a few cars. The trail itself is well-marked and...More

This is not a park nor does it have a zoo (like the other reviews say). It's Mother Nature at her finest. It's land preserved by the Cheshire Land Trust. You walk through the woods up a trail that does get very steep and rocky...More

If you have young kids, 1 - 4, the zoo is great. Perfect for the little ones. Beyond that nice trails for hiking and (I think) biking. Softball diamond, pond to feed geese. For older folks the zoo is a let down. Just rabbits, goats,...More
