In Indonesia its called Tanjung Bira. Located about 200km south of Makassar City via a winding and narrow road. If you are driving for the 1st time in Sulawasi , Please be very very careful. Great beaches but rocky at many areas, lots of chalets, budget hotels and 3 stars resort. The place need a major clean up , mostly negleted during Covid. To enter the " Beach " area you need to pay idr22k ( idr44k for foreigner) its valid for 2 days. The new " foodcourt " looks incomplete and empty, the newly built Mosque built on the sea front is nice but lack maintenance

Bira cape is definetly wirth going to, but dont stay at Pasir putih panjang cause its overcrowded and ugly.
They are also building a big ugly cement structure in the middle if the beach- will be even worse once its finished.
Go to Bara beach and stay at some of the wonderful places up on the cliffs.
Its quiet and serene there with incredible views and world class restaurants.
You will not regret.

Magnificent cape with white soft powdery sand, water warm and nice for swimming . Location about 200 km from makasar so took about 5h drive . Now here the downside all day long comes noise from banana boat , and other watersport engine . So if you stay on beachfront bungalow you may find it rather annoying . Many locals visitor and they make camp everywhere and leave the trash after weekend camp .it was very beautiful cape I ever seen yet still need a lot of improvement in terms of facilities and service esp for foreign visitors.

The color of beach sand is rather pink or creamy. Clean and sloping beach. It is suitable for snorkeling or other water sports. Unfortunately nobody rents kayaks or canoes. Tourists can take a speedboat to cross to Liukang island or Kambing island. The price is not expensive. The two islands have spots for diving and snorkeling. The Tanjung Bira area has not yet developed optimally. There are still many virgin places. Exciting to explore Tanjung Bira.

Rate 5 of 5 for the scenery. The beach is clean and developed. You can do seasport such speed boat or maybe banana boat, there’s also boat for cross the island. Foods and places to stay are available along the beach.

After 13 years i returned to see the changes and its more developed but still beautiful.you must do a boat trip to snorkel and land on the beach for fresh tuna and coconuts for lunch. the local people have organised a beach clean so it is plastic free which is unusual. lots of nice areas around Bira to visit as well.

This is my 3rd time to go to this beach because this beach is simply so beautiful, you can find the clean white sands, blue sea water and and nice sky landscape, if you are go with tight budget, there is so many cheap hotels and inn around the entry
