Beardsley Zoo has always brought excitement to me when I was a teenager and visited with family and friends, adult with my wife and children and now as a grandparent with grandchildren.

Nice if you live nearby, if not you’re better off driving to the Bronx zoo.. because you can walk this whole small zoo quickly, the Bronx zoo is way bigger with more to offer

Small zoo that takes about an hour to go through. Parking is a nightmare. Pack your own food because even though Cafe has many offerings, service is very slow (45 - 1 hr wait after ordering). They should think about expanding cafe to handle volume....More

Beautiful grounds, lots of exhibits, animals in natural like habitats. A lot of walking, some hilly spots but plenty of spaces to sit and rest. Great for kids and adults. Great day trip if you are visiting CT. Check for AAA, AARP or Senior discounts....More
