The setting here is so nice and worth $7. Not many place to see wetlands around Pikes Peak area but this is a wetland area. I have been twice this summer and it is not crowded. Hiking trails are not long but nice.

This is a small park overall. But what it lacks in size it makes up for in experience. Easy access from woodland park. Great place to take the kids or grand kids fishing. Did I mention the view of pikes peak? Stunning.

We kayaked here and shared a picnic during our visit. Not cramed with people and it was very relaxing. Lots of birds, fishing and hiking.

We attempted to walk another area near the lake but there was too much snow so we opted for the lake and it was perfect! No snow, easy trail around the lake. Lots of birds great scenery.

You and your family can enter the park for a small fee. It is relatively small, especially the lake, It is an easy walk all the way around the lake. There are some interpretative signs. Two of our group saw a beaver building its lodge....More
