One of the most beautiful hikes I've ever experienced! This one has it all - waterfalls, lakes, trees, rocks, some wildlife and wildflowers! It is pretty steep - almost just as important for the back half of the hike (watch your footing!) as the out...More

Awesome hike, Missouri Lakes are beautiful and a great place for a picnic. Not for inexperienced hikes, need a fairly early start and should be acclimated and in good shape.

we hiked the Missouri Lake Trail 2 weekends ago on a friend's recommendation who lived in Vail for many years. This is about a 6 mile round trip hike with a bit of a drive to get to it (a good hour from Avon). The...More

Excellent hike for locals and energetic visitors. Trail winds through forests and open meadows with stunning wildflower views. Lake Missouri is worth your time.

This was not an easy hike especially for people from the east coast like us. The thin air makes it tough on some of the steep inclines so make sure you bring plenty of water and take breaks. Overall it's a moderate hike with a...More
