Three friends and I came for the weekend in late March. I would love to have come earlier in the year and stay longer than a weekend, but it wasn't doable. A return trip is something I definitely have on my mind.

I give an immense amount of credit to the area developers because they did this place RIGHT! Beautiful views everywhere. Nothing intrusive or invasive. Just beauty and tranquility. A nice selection of shops and restaurants. Lots of parking and areas to stroll. The Sunday market...More

Loved the gondola ride to the top. It turned out to be an all seasons destination. Did the snow tubing there. It was good. They have many restaurants down and it seems like Europe to me. Worth the price.

So, Vail has always been known for world-class skiing. The new Epic Discovery program turns Vail into a 4-season resort. Well worth a trip (especially during the winter).

We are Texans that love to ski. We found our place at Vail. This mountain is huge and beautifully designed to offer all levels of runs for miles and miles. The town feels like a Swiss village. We will always consider this our home away...More

Temperatures in the 50's will not melt all the snow. Hopefully the lows will be in the 30's. The top of the mountain is 11,500 above sea level so it will be colder there than in town or at the base. Toward the end of the... More

Double Diamond, Skibase, Vail Sports are all within 100 yards of the gondola. But remember - this is Vail; it ain't cheap! Look online and in the village booklets for offers.
