If in Vail it is worth the 15-30 minute departure from the trail along the river. Even better is the opportunity to sit on a bench and soak up gentle solitude. FREE

Who would think a garden stroll could be this wonderful, but it is!!! Beautiful, clean, with incredible variety and plenty of places to sit and enjoy and the nicest people to help answer any questions. Wasn't expecting much and was really wowed!!!

Probably not worth a trip out of your way, but we were walking and biking around the area. Beautiful flowers and landscaping. Doesn't take long to walk through.

What a glorious morning we spent walking around admiring all the blooming flowers . It's beautifully laid out and there were some great little activity stations for families with younger children. The only downside was a crabby salesperson in the gift shop.... my only 2...More

Accessible by the free Vail shuttle bus. Probably the most beautiful botanical garden I've seen in an incredible setting. Adjacent to a large playground for kids, with lots of unique features. Also next to a spacious open grassy area for running around. Nice gift shop...More

You can take an easy walk from a lodge / hotel next to the garden. I can't remember the name. We dropped grandma off and parked up the pretty steep hill. We spent about an hour walking. They have stairs, ramps, or rocky paths. Beautiful!...More

I have, over the last 25 years, watched this attraction expand and grow. I have watched it grow from a little garden area to an emensely beautiful wonderful exhibit. It is the one must see free thing to do in Vail, absolutely.

Go here at dusk, when the light is soft and the colors of the flowers are vivid. We were lucky to be able to hear the sounds of a symphony playing outside at the adjacent Gerald Ford Amphitheater. Amazing variety of trees, flowers and greenery!...More

We walked there from our condo and enjoyed strolling through the gardens. There are benches and places to sit and relax.

I agree with those who answered one hour. We did not visit with kids, but we spent about an hour in the park. I did not read every word of the interesting signs, but read enough to get the gist of them. The gift shop is... More
