Great experience, for the whole family to make history come, alive. Actual buildings of the area are here to show what life was like in this area 100 years ago. Plenty of room to have the kids run around and a good place to explore inside as well. All is handicapped friendly.

Colorado has lots of small town museums, and this is better than most. The staff were very informed and helpful. We enjoyed the little village out back of the museum -- with buildings such as an old filling station, a general store, a church, a school and blacksmith shop .

Visited the museum with family and was completely surprised at the quality and wonderful items they have collected over the years. We went over the 4th of July. The extra exhibits were worth it also. Don't pass this one up.

They have put so much time and energy into this museum and the surrounding grounds. It's so nice to walk around and go inside the various buildings, barns, store, school, really great displays! If you have some extra time in your day definitely find your way to this wonderful place!

This museum is directly across from the Best Western in Sterling. The first time we went I thought it was going to be a quick run through of a small collection of items from the local area. However - THIS MUSEUM IS HUGE! With many and very large collections. You can tell that the people in the area are proud... More

I love to see things that take me back to my childhood that I saw around my grandma's house. I enjoy seeing things from times past!

Crowded with lots of historic and not so historic but interesting finds from indian artifacts to farm machinery and everything in between to interest both myself and my partner. We enjoyed a couple of hours in the main building and I wandered through the one room schoolhouse, general store, and other buildings while my partner marveled at the farm implements.... More

This place has a great selection of pieces and it was fun to see all of the old familiar items that we knew from growing up displayed in the general store shelves.
