Little pricey ($12/ride) but tons of fun! One hint: go in the morning-in the hot mid-day heat the sleds get gummy and slow.

This local ski hill is primarily a local jumping hill first stared by Mr. Howelson - a Scandinavian who is the father of ski jumping in the USA. You can watch from the Main Street or go to the hill. Enjoy!

We love to stay downtown Steamboat. In the winter we can walk over to the trails at Howelsen for a quick skate ski workout. In the summer it is the center of Steamboats trail system.

For you city folk who can't do the mile up Hanging Lake, try this. Very doable, and, when you get to the top, great view.

Children ride in their own tube, so have to be able to get into and out of the tubes themselves. If you feel your daughter could ride in her own tube, then she would be able to go tubing.
