This is a place you can't drive on your own if you don't have 4 wheel drive and good shocks! We went on the sweet pea van I'm glad too! Beautiful area and the springs are like a natural wonder. Remember to take bathing suit and snow pants in the winter as this is cold! A place to remember and... More

Second visit to Steamboat and second visit to the Strawberry Springs. The natural heated pools feel great on the muscles and joints after a couple of day of skiing. Three huge pools, ranging from 106, 101, 70 degrees. Lounge chairs, changing area and warming hut.

really creepy in the dark and couples smoking pot, no staff members apart the one guy a ten minute walk up the hill in the pitch black, really couldn't find our way in the dark, I actually slipped off one of the stone steps and onto the lower one and panicked because it was very hot water and I didn't... I have "been aware" of Strawberry H.S. since the 1970's! when it was just open to anyone who wandered by and in (lots of what you might call "counter-culture-ness" going on. However, I did not visit it then. I (we) waited, and went with family now that it's "controlled" (admi$$ion, gates, rules (no loose dogs, don't pee in the pool,... More

This place is cool however, seriously a lawsuit waiting to happen. No lighting at dark. Not even kidding. Can be dangerous. Unless you don't care if you slip and hurt yourself on your way to stumbling down to the hot spring and blindly feel your way around to eventually get into the water.. Then, if you happen to be there... More

Getting there is half the fun, the last miles are steep and beautiful. Well worth the effort. The hot springs and surrounding vista are well worth the trip. A nice way to relax and soak up (excuse pun) the beauty. There are multiple pools that vary in heat as you move through them. You can progress to the hotter zones... More

Everyone must experience this! Natural hot springs high in the mountains provide different pools with different water temperature. A bit rustic, with "bare" changing facilities. In the winter, you will need a 4-wheel drive vehicle.

We weren't sure we wanted to go to Strawberry Springs because of the price - so we did the walking tour of the hot springs in Steamboat springs which included the original Steamboat Spring. Wonderful walk and wonderful springs and we didn't even have to get in. Especially Sulphur Springs -phew

We had a great time at the hot springs this past week. There were 3 of the pools working that day so a little disappointed we didn't get to use the 4th one. Initially I was concerned that 1.5 hours wouldn't be enough but it was enough as you can get pretty warm. The area is beautiful and very relaxing.... More

Sulfur springs. Go in the evening to enjoy a misty evening. Multiple pools of different temperatures. Even water slides for the kids. Towels and lockers are available.
