As are all the trails we were on... this one is accessible by Jeep or 4WD. The scenery is outstanding. The lake is as Blue as the sky.... even bluer. It is an awesome trail. Ya gotta go!!!

It would depend on the amount of snow the area has had. I'd call someone local and ask before trying it.

Yes the hike is ok to do in Oct. Remember that temperatures will be cold compared to other places. Dress in layers. Check the weather before you go as rain at lower elevations can be snow around the lakes. In October you... More

We didn't bring dogs, but we saw at least 10 people who did. We even saw one little dog, but the owner ended up carrying him in a backpack. The dogs all seemed pretty happy. ☺
