We came upon the center as we were walking the river loop. Every American needs to stop and remember the people who have served to protect our freedom. The photos and the quotes by each recipient of honor is very special.

This is a photo gallery of many Medal of Honor recipients since WWII. There is a photo and a quote by which these men wish to be remembered. It was very inspiring in this age of anger and cynicism

We planned on stopping in for a few minutes..........and ended up staying over 2 hours! The docent was so friendly and informative. The portraits of the Medal of Honor recipients were a story unto themselves. Well worth a visit and even a re-visit.
