Only 6km from the Gulmarg bus station, Khilanmarg is a little paradise carpeted with flowers of varied colors in spring which changes into a skier's dream destination in the winters

There was an option of gondola and horse from Gulmarg . We personally chose horse as we already experienced gondola rides.

We got on two horses and there was a horse guide with us. We were lucky we got a good guide.

The route from Gulmarg to khilanmarg was amazing! We were literally going in a horse in between tall pine trees and apple trees. It was so scenic. There were small water falls too at two places where our horse went through water. I was thrilled.

We stopped over at some places in the route to khilanmarg. First was at children's park. This place was amazing! There was a pretty water flow with a bridge on it. We laid down near the water flow gazing the sky for almost an hour. Water flow with rocks along water - picture perfect. It was a huge park. Then we went to a view point of Nanga parbat. We sat there seeing the snow clad mountains for some time. We had a glance at baba Reshi shrine from a distance. We went to strawberry fields.

Then we were at khilanmarg. It was full of snow. Not fresh though. We played some snow games in khilanmarg like sledging . Then we were back to hotel.

It was a long day but totally worth it!!
