Interesting Multi-use Park
In August, we were back visiting friends who had moved from our neighborhood, when we lived in Aurora, CO, down to Parker, and they took us for a nice afternoon, to Discovery Park, on the edge of Old Town Parker.
This is a rather large swath of land, with several buildings, and each seems to have a couple of uses, from amphitheater to an events center, to an interesting sculpture garden. There were no events on this afternoon, but looking at the line up of recent events, and those on the schedule, Discovery Park is a busy place.
Probably the most arresting aspect of the entire park is the Ball & Jacks sculpture, which dominates a portion, in front of the events center, not far from the amphitheater.
We spent an hour, just exploring the park, and I can imagine spending much more, if there is an event taking place. Right on the edge of Old Town Parker, it is so very close to so very much.

What a quaint little place to visit. It was very quiet, and relaxing. I didn't even know this was here we found it by accident. What a great place to take your family to relax.

We love going here to find a shaded spot under a tree, and staying for hours. Whether you want to relax, or people watch this park is a great place to go. Whoever keeps it up does a great job because their is never no trash around, and the grass is very well up kept. Great for a getaway by yourself, or with friends.

Set up with an ice skating path during the winter. Ice is well taken care of and a blast to go around. Skate rentals are nice.

I am here during the winter, so I did not see the water fountain of course. There is an ice-skating trail that you can do for about $12. The library is also right there.

Discovery Park has much to offer! Library; water play area for kids; amphitheater with outdoor concerts during specific dates in summer; ice skate rink in winter.

Fun, creative approach to giving kids more to do in a semi-downtown location. Good effort! Creative use of the space.

Nice new addition to the Town of Parker. Skating ribbon in the winter and free concerts in the summer. Next door to the new library. Kids love playing in the pop up fountains

Our friends brought us here as they hike through here often and are locals. Being from out of town we didn't know what to expect but found this to be authentic Colordo and loved it so much-until it started to rain.

We had a picnic at this adorable park and saw Chris Daniels and the Kings. It was fun for all. Great grassy places to sit; fountain for kids to get wet and play in; and a wonderful library with a great second hand book area.
