One of the difference between typical zoo and this one is the typical zoo usually has "exotic" animals of other continents whereas here they house animals of that region. You get see up close bobcat, cougar, elk, fox... We happen to be there when they...More

We went here on a whim and are glad we did. We got there just around 4:00 pm in October and were able to see Tammy, the tour guide feed most of the animals. Because it was so laid-back, we just enjoyed our time walking...More

Went with our 12 yr of old grandson and he REALLY enjoyed it! We arrived early enough to walk around by ourselves then got the "dinner time" tour. We were entertained! It is a simple, no frills place but friendly people. Be sure to check...More

Make sure you visit here during feeding time. These animals are all rescues so it's neat to hear their back stories. The kids always like to watch animals eat too. Not sure why. But the food is guaranteed to bring the animals out of their...More

Stopped off here when we had some family come by. Rather smal park, with limited animals, but feeding time (4PM) gave the kids some insight into animal life.

I had to say that on my heading because someone below complained about it not being like a large zoo. Well thank goodness it's not a ZOO. This is a place for injured wildlife that cannot be reintroduced into the wild. From what I could...More
