I have vertigo issues and there were a couple places on this trial that bothered me. Mostly at the top, toward the end to Bridge of Heaven. We went up from the north side of the trail, four wheel drive required for the last few miles of the drive. It was a gorgeous hike. You gain about 2,700 feet (starting... More

This is one tough hike and it's my favorite. It is plenty steep in places, but the Bridge of Heaven view is incredible. It'll test your legs and wind.

Great trail....but steep. Not good for small children or fear of heights. We made it to the cascade fall....trail got too scary and dangerous at that point. Worth the hike.

Very nice trail up to the falls. Not really that strenuous. You will pass past several meadows with a plethora of wildflowers. Great family hike.

Nice hike. We took it only 1 mile up, to the Blow Out. Spectacular canyon. Trail has approx 20 switch backs to that point. You will climb up approx 1,000 ft in first mile. 70 yr old, 68 yr old, 47, 41, 10 and 7 yr old all did it. Bring water and snacks.

Hook up to the Bridge of/to Heaven trail and you WILL NOT be disappointed. This trail was recommended by a local worker at The Outlaw, and it did not disappoint!

There was still a bit of snow at the very top and had we had some poles or our snow shoes, we'd have made it to the Bridge of Heaven. Even still, what amazing views of Ouray, Ridgway, the mountains...and Utah.

A wonderful trail for either hikers or horseback riders. It is a long trail (I think about 4 miles each way), with plenty of elevation gain on the way up. But the views are beyond compare, and on a clear day, the La Sal mountains in Utah can be seen! At the top of the trail, one is rewarded with... More

Very challenging, especially for people who are accustomed to having oxygen in their air. However, the views are totally worth all of the effort!

This begins just across the road from Hot Springs Inn where we stay. Hadn't noticed the sign before and were told it had been recently re-opened. We decided about 4:30pm on our last day in Ouray to give it a try. It was rather steep and we only went about 25 min before deciding we needed to wait till next... More
