I thought this would be just another waterfall, costing money instead of being free. The waterfall is hard to describe. You don't see the waterfall very well, but you see some of it through a vertical stone tube, and see the water get blown out...More

Our whole family, kids and all were able to make this hike. Everyone was amazed at the beauty of the falls.

We walked to the park from our hotel in Ouray. There is a $4 fee to enter. Then, the walk to the falls is relatively easy, including a metal staircase so you can go down to the very base of the falls. The roar is...More

Amazing! A must see attraction if you are in the Ouray area. Well worth the $4 entry fee!! We could not believe the sound the water made as it came down the Box canyon drop area!

Small park just south of Ouray. Good place to get out stretch your legs on a short walk to an interesting waterfall that just seems to come out of a rock wall.

Follow the signs to this terrific natural feature. Cost is $4 each, $3 for duffers. It is a short, easy walk to the waterfall, which is really more like a vertical blowhole. The water comes pounding through a cleft in the rocks. Very impressive. If...More

Yes you do. I don't recall the amount but it wasn't substantial. Just a few dollars and completely worth it!

I will be taking my grandparents, would this be too difficult of a hike for them? One they might not want to do? Can the waterfall be seen from the bottom?

If they they are physically capable of several flights of stairs, they might be able to make it to the falls. There is a OK walk way, scaffolding etc. Once you get there, there is a lot of stairs down to it.
