Beautiful view, up hill hike was a bit hard, but made it with help of hubby. The first level is a great place for photographs. The waterfall is spectacular and worth the trip up and down. It has more trails beyond where we went, across a wooden bridge and the water spray kept the area cool in the hot weather.... More

I have been to this Waterfall and Park several times (we go to Ouray almost every summer). Not only is this a beautiful and very interesting Park, but the trail is suitable to a person in their 70s in reasonable health. Formerly I was a hike leader in the White Mtn Wilderness in NM.....but my stamina went out about 5... More

It is located just a few miles out of Ouray, Colorado on the "million dollar highway" toward Silverton, CO. The road is very curvy and narrow with very deep drop offs next to it so some might not like driving the road. If your carful and drive slow and do not do a lot of "rubber necking" it will be... We didn't know what to expect. We saw this on Trip Advisor and drive up to it this morning. It was worth the effort and time! If you are in Ouray, visit the falls.

We had been told about box Canyon by friends. Do not miss it when you are close to Ouray. The grounds are lovely and the you are able to go down the catwalk into the canyon and feel the spray of the falls on your face. It is not to be missed.

The short journey to the falls was easy, unfortunately the most impressive part of the falls was not visible. It is very loud but worth the time that it took to get there.

Ouray, Colorado is one if not the coolest place in our state. Known as "Switzerland of the Rockies" it TRULY is just that! There is a 360 degree view of Mountains all the way around you in this lil' gem of a place. It's a beautiful town with all kinds of great things to do! Box Canyon Falls is simply... More

Beautiful waterfall. Well worth the easy walk and small cost of admission. Friendly and helpful staff and good parking.
