We come each year. We love it on the mountain. The views are breathtaking. For now breakfast is on Friday, Saturday and Sunday morning starting at 8:00. Stan, the owner, still makes the best breakfast. I had the big breakfast that includes two strips of bacon, sausage, eggs over easy, home fries and biscuits and gravy. Yum yum!!!

Again, my husband loves mines so we went to this one the next day after going to the Old Hundred. We were the only ones on this walking tour with the guide. Our guy was also super knowledgeable and great speaker. It is a walking tour and can be muddy- water is running through the mines- so a heads up... More

We had a wonderful tour through the mine with a guide named Ralph. He was very interesting and very knowledgable. The gift shop has lots of treasures and the clerks that work in their are very friendly especially one named Barb. She was very informative on the rocks and minerals and the Tommy Knockers.

Had a great time. Tour guide was knowledgeable. We panned for gold. A must do when visiting Ouray. Just a short drive. Beautiful area.

This was my first mine tour ever and while I was rather hoping for a chance of getting a ride in a moving cart, I figured that wouldn't be the case. You do walk in, it is wet so wear shoes with grip type soles. I wore sneakers which were perfect. Your miner guide, dressed in garb, shared great info... More

Thanks for the review, the old tram has its advantages and disadvantages. We transitioned to a walking tour so that our guest could get more history and info. Running the tram in limited the amount of info and history we could explain. Also a lot less noise and bumps. Spring cleaning is almost finished and the blacksmith shop will be... More

This was a good tour and our tour guide was well informed. He walked us and another couple into the mine giving us history as we went. He would stop for us to make pictures and he was happy to take his time for answering questions. He seemed to enjoy it as much as we did. The drive up to... More

Ouray is one of the most beautiful areas in the state! With the hiking, jeeping, hot springs and of course the mine tour; you can really keep yourself busy. Glad you guys enjoyed your time here and hope to see you in the future More

Two children and two adults were in our group. The kids loved the tour. Our guide and host was extremely knowledgeable and experienced. His grandad and dad were miners and he grew up in Ouray so we recieved more detailed information that engaged and excited the 10 year old boys for the entire one hour tour. Afterwards we shopped for... More

The mine was very interesting, however, there was little time to really see it. The 1500 foot walk down into the mine was done at a power walk speed. We were at the back of the line so we slowed down to look at some of the formations on the walls. The guide seemed irritated that he had to wait... More

Sorry you felt rushed Karen. This year 2016 I have made some changes to how we do things and with a larger staff we will be able to maintain the grounds better and also slow down so people don't feel so rushed. If you're back in the area and find time to head back up to the mine let me... More

Thanks for the review. Our guides take the time to learn the history of the mine and surrounding area so that he can inform and answer questions as best to his knowledge. Come back up and see us if you're in the area again this year. Thanks More
