We were only in Colorado Springs for a couple days and wanted to give my kids a taste of what the mountains felt like. I felt like the trip was worth it. It does take some time out of your day, but you literally feel like you are on top of the world when you make it to the top.... More

We visited this site for the first time in October 2016. What fun! The grounds and gift shop at the base of the mountain were very nice. We purchased some nice souvenir shirts there which were attractive and reasonably priced. The ride was comfortable and made interesting by the commentary provided by the conductor. Not a bad idea to bring... More

Make a reservation if you want to be guaranteed a seat on this train. There isn't a lot to see on the first part of the journey, but the views as you get closer to the summit of Pike's Peak are nothing less than spectacular! Of course the summit at over 14,000 feet offers a 360 degree spectacle. If you... More

The entire experience was very well organized and the guide on the train was very informative, but I was disappointed that I didn't get a view of the mountain in the train. Unless you get a window seat on the side where there's 3 seats, you're missing out on so much. Unfortunately you don't get to select your seat (for... More

drove here early as we didn't have a reservation and thankfully they were able to fit us in. From the start to Finish the views were breath-taking. Staff were really helpful and full of knowledge. Don't forget to bring a jacket as it can get quiet cold as you get closer to the top,

Pikes peak is 14,115 feet and the cog railroad is to be the highest clog railroad in the world. You should make reservations or you may not get on. We did the early trip up and when we returned it was quite busy, we drove so doing the early trip parking was not an issue. When we arrived at the... More

I was fighting falling off of my seat for about fifty percent of the ride. The hard slippery wooden benches didn't help. The train was very crowded and I was very disappointed that there were no donuts at the top. I was going to get coffee but it was just plain coffee that smelled burnt. Those were all the negative... Awesome! Nuff said! If anyone planning a trip to the Colorado Springs/Manitou Springs area, this is a must do activity. The view by train is just spectacular! Our Conductor Dale was a very knowledgeable and entertaining guide. Have fun!
