We just camped there last week. Small and uncrowned area. Only has electric spots but very relaxing. I did not fish but quite a few were and they were catching small trout as it is stocked

Colorado has so many wonderful, nartural attractions, just don';t know when to say enough. But if you stay close to Fort Collins, Loveland, you can't go wrong viosditing all theseareas.

Pinewood has better views, better fishing, better hiking. Carter is much larger and offers good trout, walleye, and largemouth bass fishing, though it is a tough lake to fish if you don't work at it. Either would be preferable to Flatiron, and both of those...More

I can never tell if I'm gonna get a good day or not. I always have a nice mellow time. The rangers are quite helpful, but It's not quite Carter Lake

This is a nice family oriented county park with wheel-chaired fishing access. No need to drive 5 miles farther to Pinewood which is often crowded.

Very courteous camp hosts to guide you around. The campers are well mannered and are closely protected by the Larimer Co. Rangers. The campground is very clean and well maintained. Only drawback is no swimming or boating. It is a reservoir for water storage.

Like it. It has some small cabins and camp grounds. Small reservoir. Good for getting out of the way from it all. Great view of the mountains.
