Half is a gallery which charges a fee. Half is a free museum well done with lots of local history and a hall on sugar beets and what it use to mean to this area. It was a huge industry that went bankrupt in 1984. Some of the old mills are located all over this valley. It has a great relief upstairs of the mountains and lowlands nearby and covers a large amount of the Colorado Rockies.

Great local art, a walk through historical towns, and a deep dive into local history make this a place that's worth a stop. The rotating paid exhibits are always worth the $5 charge. The staff is very friendly and helpful

I lived in Loveland 40 years ago and there was no Loveland Museum. It was a sleepy retirement town with two major employers, HP and GW Sugar, now both largely gone. However, my how things have changed. Today, I visited Loveland for the first time in many years and stumbled upon the downtown Loveland Museum amid many art galleries and antique stores. A banner above the museum door said "Picasso, Chagall, Matisse, Miro." "In Loveland???" I wondered. In I went. Admission to the museum is free but the special art exhibit cost $5 for entry. I paid it quickly and inside I found a private collection of great art on display with easily more than 100 unique pieces of artwork and sculpture by these great artists plus Dali (my personal favorite). This is a limited exhibition, so go now. The rest of the museum is also pretty interesting with artifacts documenting early life in Loveland plus a section on GW Sugar. The plaque commemorating the opening of the museum lists a few of my friends, lost to me over the decades but there on the wall in cast bronze letters.

Let's face it, this place is not one of the Smithsonians or The House on the Rock, but it is a nice, quaint museum in downtown Loveland. I visited on the weekend and parking was easy and ample. The best part of the museum is the art gallery which changes periodically. There was also a lot of local history, including the history of the sugar beet industry in Loveland and a homage to the cottage industry of valetine re-mailing. All in all, it's a pleasant way to spend a couple of hours in Loveland. NOTE: The museum is closed on Mondays and closes at 4:00 PM on Sundays.

My 4 and 6 year old grandkids participated in 2 summer art classes at the Loveland Museum. At the mandalas class they created sun catchers using flower leaves and petals. They were stunning and are hanging in their bedroom windows. The Shark week class was also a lot of fun with singing, reading, and making several crafts. The two instructors were very engaging and offered activities that were easily adapted to all the kids in the small group. I would highly recommend these classes.

We came in for the opening Gala of the Governor's Art Show and were reminded that, even when there aren't events happening, this little museum and gallery is a lovely part of our community that we should frequent more often.

Great Colorado history, beautiful pieces by local artists. There's a little something for everyone here.

The museum is located in the heart of Loveland town. It is at a corner of 5th street and Cleveland ave. The museum has 2 floors. They have display of the olden days and show how the town grew. There is a small fee but if you go on a right day, it is free. Not bad to bring the kids to this place.

A small, well-organized and interesting museum and gallery that offers a nice look at local Colorado history without being overwhelming. Easily accessible in the Loveland old town

Though small, this is an excellent museum. There is a $5 entrance fee usually, but it is waived on the Second Friday downtown stroll event every month.

Wonderful exhibit. The museum is not crowded and there is plenty of time to wander as much as you like. I especially liked this exhibit with the deconstructed photo book from Ansel Adams and his friends. I had never seen many of the pieces previously.
