This is a state park with full hook ups unless you want an electric only site. The park is quiet at night-some amount of highway noise. There is a bike path that runs through the park-while a nice "In-and Out" ride it really doesn't tie in to the "Green Belt" bike path which is a great ride. There are fishing lakes/ponds.
Walmart and Costco are close by.
No T.V. reception with your roof mounted antenna, but cellphone reception (with T-Mobile-at least)is great.

Still a great place to stay. We stayed here last August on our way to Buffalo Bill State Park and liked it so much we returned this year. The park is very clean and had the vibe of a campground with the big city and all the conveniences only five minutes away.

Noise from I-25 is still a problem and most of it could be eliminated by building a noise barrier wall between the highway and park. Yes, easier said than done! Get a site farther back in the park and it is somewhat of an improvement.

Very pretty grounds and it was fun seeing Pelicans and other wildlife and the staff was very nice. Very noisy spot like staying at a rest stop off freeway. We noticed just about everyone had a dog and signs advising to pick up but no bags to support this.

We stayed at St Vrain State Park in our motorhome for a couple of weeks and weren't sure what to expect as we don't usually stay in State Parks, but in this area, the choices are fairly limited. Prices were good $22 for electric and $26 for full hook up. BUT you do need a State Park pass as well, so be prepared to pay an additional $7 per day or $70 for the year for that. Sites are spacious, paved and have a covered picnic table and fire ring. Plenty of parking. Lovely views with lakes all around. The only thing that could improve this place is if it wasn't quite so close to I-25 (traffic noise) and if it was less likely to get affected by flooding during the rainy season(s). We left on a Friday morning but learned they evacuated everyone that evening due to flooding. Will definitely go back! Oh - and it's great for friends and family to come visit too - you can fish in some of the lakes.

We are camping here right now and our sister in law visited our site for less than 20 minutes She has a valid and current Colorado State parks pass but it was in her other vehicle. Even though she parked outside the gate and we came to pick her up, on our way out the ranger followed us to where her car was parked (it was on State Park property) and made her pay for a day use pass. Guess they have no Genuine problems here!

We stayed 4 nights in a fifth wheeel.. It's a great campground to go out on day trips. Boulder, Rocky Mt. National Park, Denver... Trails around the ponds but no hiking. Mostly a place to camp. Some highway noise. Great view of the mountains.

This state park is located right off the freeway (in fact it's a little too close to the freeway for some people), but the traffic sound was not significant. Getting to it is another story...they are doing construction on the main entrance and road, and it was very tricky with a 40' Class A pulling a vehicle to get through there. However, we managed, and lucked out by getting the last available space with hookups. $28 a night. They have the spaces spread out around a variety of ponds, as this is a bird/fish habitat area. Very clean, well kept and not a lot of traffic coming and going. Very pleasant to sit out and enjoy the view of the pond in the evenings. Good for pets. Nice walking trails around the area. Would stay there again! Don't know if they take reservations or not. They had several of the camping areas closed because of maintenance going into winter weather.
Loved it.
