We went to Idaho Springs on our way to Vail. We didn't do the tour. We decided to just pan for gold. The experience was informative, and we all came away with some gold. Very nice atmosphere, and fun experience.

Our guide Geo was very informative and funny. She added to this unique learning experience, A well-done tour with demonstrations of two mini-machines, a video, a lengthy tour inside the mill and then the opportunity to try our hand at panning for some gold!
