Ryan was the most knowledgeable tour guide I have ever had, anywhere, ever. Even all the teenagers in our group agreed that he made learning very fun. He brought history alive! What a great way to see and understand the hard work it took to get gold out of these mountains. I can't even imagine the working conditions. 😬

It was a very nice tour with a very knowledgeable leader. The mill is in great shape and its nice to step back into the history of the way things once were. I hope they can continue and preserve this neat piece of history!

My fiancé and I were driving from Avon to Denver for our flight back to NYC on 5/1/17 and decided, on a whim, to stop here. Everyone was very friendly and the tour was so well organized and presented! We were with only 3 other visitors, which made the experience more comfortable and fun. Gabe was our tour guide; he'd... We had a great time at the Argo gold mill. Kenny was our tour guide, he made us all feel included, even my 4 year old granddaughter., we enjoyed the tour of the goldmill, it was cool to see and some of the things still in place from years and years ago.

We really enjoyed the our knowledgeable tour guide Ryan. We loved hearing about the mining industry as some of our grandfathers had been in the mining industry. I especially liked hearing about the "fast track" and "pay dirt" . This was definitely interesting and informative a very good tour!

We had a great time visiting Idaho Springs and the Argo Gold Mill & Museum. Our tour guide Ernie was funny, informative and a pleasure to be around for the entire length of the tour. He readily answered questions and gave us a wonderful overview of the mining operation. Even better, we got to enter the Argo Tunnel which we... More

We had a great time. Kenny was our guide and was very knowledgeable a little soft spoken at times but still a great tour. We all loved walking into the tunnel and panning for gold.

Our tour guide seemed very knowledgeable, but he seemed to assume we knew more about what was going on there than we did. It honestly was kind of boring. Maybe if it was an actual mine it would be more interesting. The whole tour lasted an hour and a half, and my whole group was ready for it to wrap... More

I live in Idaho Springs where the Argo is located, but I hadn't done the tour before. I went on the tour because I was researching a book, and needed info about gold mines. The tour is very informative and the guide, Gabe, was awesome! Although the tour doesn't take you into the tunnel itself (they are opening the tunnel... More
