We were staying in Avon where we asked the concierge about the local golf courses. She mentioned some of the more well known places (Beaver Creek, AvonVail) but said that the best bang for the buck was Gypsum Creek. At $49.00 it was a bargain. Originally the course was built as a private course to anchor a housing tract. That... More

Great restaurant! The best chicken fried steak I think I have ever had! Nice mashed potatoes & really good gravy! My friend had a nice salmon salad too. We will definitely be back! Service was a little sketchy, but they were pretty busy and we were not in a hurry.

Several holes were undergoing major irrigation work. This is a very difficult course if you don't play it enough to learn the "traps" you can't see like creeks crossing over a little mound. There is a lot of water and very tall grass. This is the third time I've played it in probably 4-5 years. Not high on my list.

This is a challenging course with several holes that demand accurate ball placement. Be prepared to lose a few balls. That said it does have some interesting fun holes as well as a few easy ones and wonderful views of the valley and surrounding mountains. It has full practice facilities although the chipping area is a bit small. Some of... More

I wanted to find an affordable course to play in Vail Valley while on vacation. I came across this gem and brought my 11 year old son out to play. While he is just beginning he enjoyed everything about the course. The course was so much fun to play with him I brought my 9 year old daughter out two... More

Great for lunch in the summer out on the deck. Good for families and basically the only nonMexican food restaurant option in Gypsum for dinner.

Only play when it is the first/last course open and only play the front 9. Too many goofy holes and #17 should not even be considered a golf hole. It is in OK shape at best and the greens are never that great. Go up the road and play Eagle Ranch.......1000 times better.

Great place to play an affordable round of golf. The scenery is amazing and the elevated par 3 hole is a fun challenge.

Great affordable golf in the vail valley does exist. Since this course was sold to the town of gypsum a few years ago this course has been the best value for your buck anywhere. Nice greens, great staff, decent food and beverages, and a course that's always a joy to play.

Gypsum Creek Golf course is a former private club, which, like so many others, had to convert to public play. The Town of Gypsum picked it up several years ago and it is gradually being discovered by visitors from across the state to around the world. GCGC is a Perry Dye design/ The front nine begins with a few short... More
