We visited the museum on the Disney day. They had several Disney characters to visit and take pictures with. My daughter loved it! On a typical day though, I think the museum would probably be pretty boring. It's very small, and there isn't much to...More

This place is the definition of the word "wonderment." The Colorado Model Railroad Museum is a great and pleasant surprise. I fell in love with this museum. I have never really been "into" model trains so I was amazed to discover multiple layers of joy...More

I have to be honest and say that this was my first train museum. As such, my frame of reference is limited. But it was a great experience to see all of the memorabilia and the cool trains. The conductors are very knowledgeable and accessible....More

Spent an hour or so at this surprisingly fun museum. There are several model trains all going at once. You get a sheet of paper at the entrance listing things you search for while walking along and viewing the countryside, towns, farms, etc. I found...More

Awesome! Unbelieveable museum and operating model railroad; just like the real thing running outside their front door.

Great for kids and adults. Large scale working train models with lots of towns, switchyards, mountains, lakes, tunnels. You walk above and at train level. Especially fun is looking for the stray dinosaurs.

They have a game for the kids where they need to search for items, that can take about an hour. There's plenty to see in a smaller place, about 7000-10000 square feet, a few hours should be enough time.
