The museum puts on several fun events for young families. My daughter really enjoys the pony rides and seeing the various farm animals. The grounds are very well kept.

I went with my 7 year old and she had a great time! I would recommend going when the houses are open and volunteers are in character. Makes it so much better!

Loved visiting this museum. It does a wonderful job showing the history of the city and the area. Especially liked talking with the "Cookie" who kept the fire going and the beans and bacon cooking at the chuck wagon exhibit.

Houses from different periods of history. And don't forget the home of Rattelsnake Kate. Individuals in period clothes. Much to see!

The museum is open Fridays and Saturdays only. We visited on a Friday in July, and were almost the only ones there. Costumed guides outnumbered visitors. We were able to visit every building, even the locked ones, because we were accompanied by a guide. We...More

Their regular admission fees are: adults $8; seniors $6; kids $5. They also have an $18 family rate, for up to 5 family members (I think).
