There are many "sections" of this trail. Maybe we picked the wrong one. It was not scenic at all. The area fronting the river was an industrial park. The view to one side was the river which was littered with large chunks of broken concrete,...More

Took my two Grandsons fishing here during their spring break. We fished off the shore and on the fishing pier. Had our picnic lunch, walked on trails around the lake and generally had a great time. The atmosphere was laid back and relaxed. Ample parking,...More

A lovely stadium. It looks so great with the setting of the mountains around it. It is a must see when visiting Grand Junction

I stayed one night at the Island Acres section of this Park. The campsites are all nice with electricity. Some have full hookups. There are also a few tent sites, which is where I stayed. The tent sites have tables but no shelters like the...More

When we stayed, the campground was full. But it wasn't noisy. Even with the highway nearby it wasn't bad. Long trails to walk on around the lakes.

We spent 3 nights (and days) at the James M. Robb Island acres State Park. Hosts were friendly and hard working. The park was clean, as were the rest rooms. Camp sites were fairly spacious and not too close together! Down-sides might be the highway...More

This is a beautiful campground along the Colorado River with a lake also, Bookcliff Lake. There are many full hookups, the sites are large with many pull-throughs, lots of greenery, beautiful views of the mountains, and its quiet. There are two playgrounds, a boat ramp...More

Very near downtown Grand Junction. I nice shady walk along the river. Great for a hot day. You can sit along the river and see birds.

There is a great raft tour that starts in Fruita ends in Utah. Along the way you get to explore petroglyphs and view amazing rock. I can't recall the name, but it is just south less than a mile from the Colorado State Park... More
