One of our beautiful Colorado state parks located on Palisade, CO. There is another one by the same James M. Robb name, but it is in Fruita, CO. Nice RV park with full hook ups and at a great price. Convenient to the interstate and this also makes it a little noisy at nite, but turn on the fan and... More

We noticed a parking lot & trail from the road when traveling through Grand Junction so decided to check it out. So glad we did! There are 5 sections to the park and the first one we visited was "Corn Lake". We immediately noticed a great blue heron glide overhead and observed different people fishing at Corn Lake. After buying... More

This was a great place to stop, walk, get some exercise, use the rest rooms and have a picnic lunch while traveling past on I 70. Easy access from I 70 except for the darn traffic circles They have access to the Colorado River a very nice lake with ducks and dogs chasing them.

We were able to easily find a spot large enough for our motorhome (37ft) which was nice. If you prefer shade in the afternoon obviously stay to the west and D loop has full hookups. We actually aren't into fishing and other outdoor activities so I recommend it for the location to Palisade. It is super close so if you... More

This is a fabulous set of parks and paved trails for the community. Grand Junction has done a fabulous finding the funds to provide and continue to extend the great connected parks and trails. The trails are well paved. Perfect for all: walking, biking of all ages, jogging or walking the dog. There are a number of locations (Connected Lakes,... More

The James M. Robb Colorado State River Park is actually 5 parks. Being a state park, it is pet friendly. The day use charge is $7 but you can buy a yearly pass that is good for all Colorado State Parks which is a real bargain. Eastmost is Island Acres, which to me is mostly an RV park, though you... Small and quiet state park on the edge of the Colorado River. While it offered a place to do some fishing, there wasn't much going on when we were there.

This state park is well maintained with spacious campsites. The location and setting is hard to beat. A home away from home kind of feeling. Most of what a traveler would need is just a short distance away. Recreational activities abound from here. The Monument, McInnis Canyons to the south, Mtn. Biking the Kokopelli Trail System to the west, 18... More

I needed a place to camp and was unable to make reservations on the weekend near Ouray, Co. I settled for James M Robb state park which is not your average state park. It's on the edge of the town In Fruita close to Grand Junction. I could see the Taco Bell and Gas station from my Hammock. They have... More
