This is a very popular trail and the parking lot is very small. You can't just park on the street, either, as this is right off of I 70. So, go early and even better, go off season. You will be ticketed for any illegal parking. Also - don't bring your dog or your bike. This is a hiking trail... More

This is such a gorgeous, breathtaking hike! The beauty of this place is unreal! We swung by here on a road trip and we were so glad we did. It was a little bit harder then I thought, but definitely doable. Our kids enjoyed it and were able to do it no problem. It is a very steep hike and... More

This was a beautiful day hike! We were looking for a place we could easily hike in one day before going to our next road trip destination and this was it! It wasn't too difficult, but I was a little hungover from the night before so that probably impacted how I was feeling as well. We heard about this place... More

One of the most scenic spots in Colorado. Hike a mile up through through breath taking mountains vistas. Then you get to see this gorgeous Lake and waterfall!

It was a beautiful hike! The skylines on the way up are magnificent, and the falls are such a sweet reward at the end. Very strenuous however and probably not ideal for little kids due to how steep it is in places. Be sure to bring plenty of water and layers, good shoes would be ideal due to the rocks

The Hanging Lake is beautiful and stunning, it is definitely worth the steep hike to it. You will not want to make this hike in winter or wet weather unless you are prepared as the trail is very steep.

I have hiked this trail several times over the past few years but hanging lake has become so popular that it is not worth more than one time. If you go during the summer, you will have to wait in line to park your car with Park rangers assistance. (We rode our bikes there) Once on the trail you will... More

The hike is difficult, 1.2 mile long with a gain of 1020 feet in elevation, but well worth it. The lake is beautiful, and the views from the top of the trail are breathtaking. Make sure and take the time to hike the trail past the lake to the waterfall, it is worth the extra effort. Wear good shoes, and... More

This is one of the most incredible, short and relatively easy hikes in all of Colorado. The trail can get busy, but it is worth the hike.

Hiked up at the beginning of April,so encountered a bit of snow, but not enough to be a problem. I didn't even have proper foot gear, only sneakers. The trail is very rocky and uneven as well as being very steep in places.Do not attempt if you are in poor shape and/or afraid of heights ! Otherwise, enjoy the challenge and the beautiful... More
