Sunlight features 67 named trails covering over 470 acres. In addition to miles of cruising intermediate terrain, Sunlight's East Ridge has one of the steeper runs in the state. Aptly named, The Heathen falls beneath your feet at a breathtaking 52 degrees. Sunlight is home to one of the longest trails in ski country, Ute, a beginner slope that winds more than 2 miles from summit to base. Sunlight also hosts some of the best tree skiing in Colorado with many aspen groves untracked days after snowfall. All trails converge at the base lodge, so friends and family can always keep track of each other

Sunlight Ski area has a varied terrain suitable for skiers of all skill levels. From beginners to advanced, everyone can have an enjoyable day. The ski patrol is excellent and staff who work here are friendly and helpful. The lodge is a fun place to eat a sack lunch from home or to purchase a quick lunch. I highly recommend... More

This place is special for my family. My young son first learned to snowboard here, so he absolutely loves it. The instructors were great and the spring break snow was awesome. Some of the best spring weather for snowboarding I have ever had.

Not a great snow year (this was true for all the Colorado resorts) but the mountain was nicely groomed given the conditions. Staff was friendly and you could hop right on the lift without a wait so you can get in a lot of runs. At times it felt like we almost had the mountain to ourselves. The three lifts... More

My husband grew up skiing here and it is exactly the same as when he went there in the 80's. No lift lines. All of the staff was super friendly, especially the ski patrol hut at the top of the mountain. Guest services was great, ski rental was easy, fast and helpful. Food was pretty good. Snow was not great,... More

I love skiing at Sunlight. They have three lifts that move at a modest pace, but the skiing is worth it; they have a variety of great runs for beginner, intermediate, advanced and expert. The food in the chalet is good and you will find lines are rare anywhere. It is about a half hour drive from Glenwood Springs.

Best skiing for the money in the area. They have a nice variety of runs and terrain. Old school two person lifts and one triple. Great for learning on a budget. Get the shell gasoline 2 for 1 coupon and it costs $31 for the day. Food is decent and reasonably priced. 20 minutes from glenwood pool.

We took my family and my brothers family on the hour tour. It was incredible. Magnificent views and breathtaking experience. Ty and Dean, our guides, were a lot of fun and were patient since this was new to us. They made a great experience exceptional. Note: I've never written a trip advisor review but these guys deserve it (along with... More

They had an online special that included 4 lift tickets and 4 hot springs tickets for only $200!!! That was such a great deal! But even without that deal the prices here are still very reasonable. Regular priced full day lift tickets are only $64 and a half day is only $53. Compared to the prices of other resorts in... More

Ty and Dean were our guides and they took us on an incredible ride. We are late 40's and our kids 18 and 20 rode behind. Next time they want their own! The open run area in Baylor Park was amazing to let loose and peg the throttle on the straight. Gearing up was easy and the guys had a... More

My wife and I did the 1 hour tour with Dean. He couldn't have been nicer and more accommodating. We had the perfect day and left wishing we had done the adventure tour (2.5 hours). We will definitely be back. The equipment, the trails and the guide were all more than we ever expected. Thanks Dean!! Kelly & Brian
