Sunlight features 67 named trails covering over 470 acres. In addition to miles of cruising intermediate terrain, Sunlight's East Ridge has one of the steeper runs in the state. Aptly named, The Heathen falls beneath your feet at a breathtaking 52 degrees. Sunlight is home to one of the longest trails in ski country, Ute, a beginner slope that winds more than 2 miles from summit to base. Sunlight also hosts some of the best tree skiing in Colorado with many aspen groves untracked days after snowfall. All trails converge at the base lodge, so friends and family can always keep track of each other

Sunlight is a nice small ski resort, not over crowded. The staff was all very helpful and friendly. We will definitely go back next year!

We've skied all over Colorado and Sunlight is my favorite! It's slow, old-school lifts give you time to enjoy the views and the runs are well-cared for. I love that the whole family can enjoy the mountain and meet at the one lodge at the...More

Growing up skiing all over Colorado, I've had quite a bit of experience at the big-name resorts, but after a friend took me to Sunlight, I was hooked! I literally get three days a year to ski (after moving to Houston), and this is where...More

This place is special for my family. My young son first learned to snowboard here, so he absolutely loves it. The instructors were great and the spring break snow was awesome. Some of the best spring weather for snowboarding I have ever had.

Not a great snow year (this was true for all the Colorado resorts) but the mountain was nicely groomed given the conditions. Staff was friendly and you could hop right on the lift without a wait so you can get in a lot of runs....More

My husband grew up skiing here and it is exactly the same as when he went there in the 80's. No lift lines. All of the staff was super friendly, especially the ski patrol hut at the top of the mountain. Guest services was great,...More

I love skiing at Sunlight. They have three lifts that move at a modest pace, but the skiing is worth it; they have a variety of great runs for beginner, intermediate, advanced and expert. The food in the chalet is good and you will find...More

Probably not at the resort. But I would imagine you could find childcare in town. Try the Rec Center or maybe a sitter service.
