Have the shuttle take the bikes up to the area above Hanging Lake. Ride down to the trail and then lock the bike and hike up to the lake. After you come down, ride on the bike trail back to the town along the Colorado River. It was a downhill ride for most of the trail. Beautiful scenery. Rest stops... More

I-70 is an engineering feat through Glenwood Canyon. Fortunately they built a bike trail at the same time. The bike trail runs beneath, along side and sometimes between the two directions of I-70. The traffic can be quite noisy! Sometimes there is just a cement divider between you and fast moving I-70. Often the drop off to the river is... More

This bike trail follows the impressive and remarkable engineering of I-70 through Glenwood Canyon. At times you ride next (but safely separated from) the interstate and other times the quiet of the trail as it winds along old Highway 6 is peaceful. We saw big horn sheep within feet of the trail. Restrooms and fresh water are available at three... More

Rode from Glenwood Springs to Hanging Lake which was approximately 11-12 miles. We left from Two Rivers Park where we were able to park the car. The path begins on a concrete path and leaves he park at a traffic light. Cross the street and pedal up to 6th street and take a right. Continue straight past the Hotel Colorado... More

Took my father and his friends in their sixties. We rode the 19 miles from Dotsero downhill (among the river) to the hot springs in town. They had the time of their lives. Gorgeous Gorges!

We really enjoyed this ride. We went from the Bair Ranch rest area to Glenwood Springs and back. We had a nice picnic lunch in the canyon. We had our young son with us and he did fine with the distance. Glad we saved our money and didn't pay to be dropped off at the top. It is noisy near... More

Great ride. And if you don't have a bike the rental shop is a block or two away from the trail head.

This was an amazing ride ride along the river! Im not a big bike rider, but the trail was well maintained and wide. It's all down hill and very scenic - we even stopped to watch people white water rafting and also stopped to do the Hanging Lake Hike - all in all a great day! We rented our bikes... More

Rented bikes in GS and rode to Hanging Lake, which was over crowed and not the hike for us. Loved riding along the Colorado River and seeing the rafters + the wild flowers. The ride on I-70 wasn't as much fun but it's only a mile. Enjoy!
