We rented bikes from Glenwood Adventure Company. They were very helpful with fitting us to the right bikes. They took us about 16 (20?) miles away and set us off on the bike trail heading back to Glenwood Springs. The trail is paved and 95%...More

We started at Bair Ranch rest stop and rode down the canyon towards Glenwood Springs. There are 2 or 3 rest stops along the path. You can stop at Hanging Lake, lock your bikes and hike up to the Hanging Lake. Or, you can ride...More

one of the easier, scenic rides you'll find! Rent a bike or grab your sneakers and head to the Canyon!! You can see rafters, stop at picnic areas if you take provisions and you can refill your water bottle at the rest areas

The 16 mile bike ride is full of amazing scenery, views of white water rafters, and access to the river to cool off. This ride is NOT all downhill, so don't fool yourself that you will coast the whole way into town. :-) It was...More

The driver for the shuttle was helpful and gave some advice on where to eat and what other sites to see. The ride itself was great, but I would be hesitant if you had smaller kids who might be wobbly on a bike. There are...More

We love this trail. It has hills, and you can ride for quite a while. We usually go about 5 miles out from the Vapor Caves in Glenwood and then rest at a rest stop and then head back. This trip we were blessed with...More

This trail is quite amazing as we were bussed up the canyon for a smooth downhill ride into Glenwood Springs. If you enjoy biking and think 16 miles is too long...you can pretty much not pedal most of it.

This fabulous trail was created when it was decided that I-70 through Glenwood Canyon could only be constructed with the strictest ecologic standards. It was only allowed if the beautiful Colorado River was not harmed and the many tributaries also could not be harmed. This...More

Which direction? East past Hanging Lake Trail yes. It will be predominantly up hill out. Next to a river all the way. You could lock your bikes and do the trail too. South to Aspen is about 80 miles round trip. Probably... More

It depends on weather. Once snow falls, you don't want to be riding a bike on the trail. Also, as the water rises in the Colorado River, the trail closes, as part of it becomes submerged in the river. Last year, the snow... More
