We really enjoyed visiting this interesting place. The gentleman we talked to was a wealth of information, and there were really cool old pieces of equipment.

We stopped with our family quickly and soon realized we would be there a little longer. The exhibits were interesting and captivated the attention of a four year old. We did the self guided walking tour and that worked for us.

As an engineer I like finding museums that include things like the old generators that can be found here. Non-engineers could probably enjoy a 30 minute walk around as well. Next time I hope to bring my teens to torture them with the educational experience

The tour of this power plant is fascinating and contains many, many artifacts from turn of the century (late 1800's) power generation. The docent is both knowledgeable and friendly. A GREAT experience.

Great place to visit! Very helpful volunteers to show you around and answer questions. We saw not only the power plant itself, but also many items that were used as electricity became available in the Gerogetown area that were antiques.

This is a small mueseum. Very interesting if you are an engineer or interested in electric or water energy. Otherwise not too interesting. Skip if you are on a tight schedule.

This is a working hydroelectric plant which dates back to the early 1900s. The museum part contains a lot of old equipment and electrical appliances. It's still a work in progress and needs more signs on some of the exhibits to explain what they were...More
