This Country Gothic Revival home originally belonged to silver baron William Arthur Hamill. Hamill greatly expanded a small Rocky Mountain home into a grand display of Georgetown's wealth in the latter part of the 19th century. We are open May (Memorial Day) through September (Labor Day). The house was wonderful. It was sadly closed when we were there but we looked in the windows and the outside was so pretty. I love houses like this and could just have walked right in and lived there. The sunroom was really something.

The house is beautiful and being that I grew up in the area I have been on the tour before. It was a good thing, since I knew more about the house and the Hamills than the tour guide. There was often silence as he...More

Excellent tour and gorgeous house! The guide was very knowledgeable about the house but also about the history of Georgetown and that really brought everything to life. We'll definitely go back again!

This is a beautiful house and you can experience how the rich lived back in the 20th century! Beautiful decor and fascinating to see just what money could buy you in the early frontier days.

Mr. Hamill who owned and expanded the Hamill House had lots of money and wanted everyone to know it. The wood work inside the house is intricately carved. They had a conservatory right in the house with heat coming up from the floor so they...More

First let me apologize for your tour. No Director ever wants to see such a review. I take full responsibility for this, as I need to do a better job in training. However, we have a wonderful tour guide that I have asked to come...More
