THRILLING and ENTERTAINING adventure!!! Our novice family chose Rocky Mountain Adventures for our first white water rafting trip after reading reviews and talking with Bella on the phone. She advised me to take the family friendly Lower Poudre trip since our 13 year old was very nervous about the idea of white water rafting. We had such a FANTASTIC time on the Lower Poudre trip with our guide, Dylan managing to keep us safe and entertain us the entire way. Before getting out of the raft, our intrepid 13 year old asked to sign up for the more advanced trip. We did and had another great thrilling and entertaining experience with our new guide, Drew. Another shout out to Johnny “Tsunami” who entertained us on both trips with amusing bus ride stories. We can’t wait for our next Rocky Mountain Adventures trip.

First time rafting and we had a blast, the river was great plenty of exciting rapids. We took 3 kids ages 10-13 and they loved it! Our guide Matt was awesome, he kept the kids (and us) entertained while expertly guiding us down the river. We saw another company's group of rafts and they all looked jealous of how much fun we were having.
Great memories - would highly recommend if you are in the area, was a great time.

My family of four (kids 12 & 15 years old) had not done any white water rafting before. We had a great time on the river, and I felt very safe with our guide Cam. He was awesome! Not only is he very skilled at white water rafting, but he told us interesting information about the area and entertained us with some amazingly corny jokes. I would definitely recommend Rocky Mountain Adventures for your rafting adventures!

There’s no words to describe how amazing this trip was. Mind you it was my first time and i was terrified but thanks to our instructor Payton he made me feel comfortable and safe during the water white rafting. He’s very acknowledgeable, funny and very friendly. I will definitely be coming back for another adventure 😍

My husband Paul and I booked a trip on a whim and don't regret it. We had Payton as our guide and he made the entire experience fun, memorable, and enjoyable. We had no idea what to expect other than we'd get wet, it could be dangerous, and staying in the boat was a goal. He made us feel like we knew what we were doing (we didn't) and we were bitten by the bug and can't wait to do it again. RMA is an amazing company. From start to finish they are professional, passionate about the customers and jobs, and deliver an unforgettable experience. Payton was knowledgeable, entertaining, and funny. We had a blast. Thank you for a GREAT time!

Today, we took our kids rafting for the first time and I had no idea what to expect. My wife had gone before but none of the rest of us had. First and foremost, the guides were AMAZING. The ride over and back were filled with laughs and a generally good time. I did't expect rafting and a show. The guides made the bus ride itself entertaining and enjoyable.
We went in mid July and did the Lower Poudre River. It was a little tame for me and I was incredibly anxious about going in the first place... I admit my wife made me do it. :D There were Class 2 and 3 rapids. Our guide was Darien and he did an exceptional job. He was both entertaining and skilled. No one fell out of our boat and the only bumps were soft. it was fascinating to see just how little rafters do and how much the guide does. Follow instructions and you get a smooth ride... with some humorous shenanigans mixed in.
Go with a sense of humor and a willingness to enjoy various jokes and good natured pranks from your guide. The bus driver did turn the tables on them at one point which was also amusing. Generally, everyone at RMA was excellent. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Our party of 4 had an outstanding white water rafting experience on the Poudre river. The personal protection equipment and raft were all in excellent condition. Our guide Cam was the best! He was a lot of fun, and had a lot of insight regarding the history of the river and local area. His knowledge of rafting enabled us to have a very exciting afternoon in a safe and controlled manner. Cam's skills let a couple of our scared and concerned members of our party to be white water rafting enthusiasts by the end of the day. If your considering rafting the Poudre river, Rocky Mountain Adventures is your go-to resource, and if you're lucky enough to get Cam as your guide, I guarantee you'll have the time of your life.

We went on a rafting trip as a family of 4, with a 15 and 11yo. Payton R was our guide. He was very educational along the route. He was skilled in his guide and even my kids said “he must be really good at his job… we weren’t always the best at paddling”. Beautiful scenery, nice rapids, well-guided experience.

Quick story...I get a morning call at my home in California and a friendly voice asked if we were going to make our reservation today. I immediately realized that I had messed up and scheduled our rafting trip a month early (senior moment). At this late hour, I figured we had to eat our reservation and I'd be taking my family on a free hike in a month. Two minutes after hanging up, I get a call back from Astrid who said they still had availability on the day I really wanted and all I had to pay was an extra 15% cancellation fee. Wow, a business that cares! Fast forward one month...we had an amazing rafting experience on the Poudre River with our guide Evan. He was super chill, yet informative and friendly; The river was low, but still provided several fun challenges for our family of novice rafters. The bus ride up the canyon was pleasant (accompanied by some classic rock) and our head leader (his name escapes me) was funny and engaging. My only complaint is the high-priced photographs that you can purchase at the end. I would have spent the money, but the photos weren't very good (too far & barely focused). I still give these guys 5 stars especially for customer service. We will definitely do this again on our next trip to Colorado.

Hi, planning a trip mid-June with our 10 year old daughter. Mom is nervous about the rapids. How is it in June (lower river, 1/2 day). OK for a nervous mom and 10 year old? Thanks

How often do you guys do white water kayaking trips? And what's the minimum and maximum number of people for a kayaking trip? :)
Written 10 August 2016
Hey April. We do a set schedule of trips depending on the class you choose. That being said we can do some private classes depending on your experience and exactly what you are looking to get out of the trip. The Private classes are scheduled on an ad-hoc basis based around the customers availability and ours so it best to call us for that. We stick to a ratio of 4 customers to 1 guide for on river classes. Hope this helps and please give us a call for any further info. Thanks!
