Pick your hike
Aug 2017 • Couples
A variety of trails and level of difficulty to choose from as well as places to start. If you want to just hike, jog, or walk the dog, you can park off the entrance on 74 and do the level loop in the meadow. You could also start from the Stagecoach lot( now more parking open with the dog park closed) and still do the meadow trail or choose to do the more difficult hike to Bergen Peak( though still not that challenging. Woods or meadow, either is a nice walk in nature.

Nice Hike to 9800...
May 2017
Nice hiking trails. Some more flat, but the trip to Bergen Peak has some inclines, no rough climbing though. You do hear some road noise, but it does not detract for me. Great views.

Nice walk or climb to top of Bergen Peak.

If you're just interested in hiking in Elk Meadow, you would be better off parking in the lot off Bergen Peak Drive (7557 Bergen Peak Drive). The parking lot off Stagecoach is small and usually full due to the extremely busy dogpark across the road. Parking is also available at the rec center at the north end of the park. Pick up after your pet, a ranger is patrolling and the fine is significant.

Nice But Noisy
Sep 2016 • Couples
This is a nice, mostly flat trail, but the noise from the road definitely detracts from the experience. This is part of a trail system that has some different and varied hikes. Bergen Peak is a little more challenging, but it is a little quieter.

Race Loop
Jun 2016
Elk Meadow is a wonderful place to hike and play. Can be more challenging if you head up toward Bergren Peak. The major road detracts from the Meadow loop, so I suggest the challenge heading into the trees. Had a trail race here last weekend and it was a blast!

Elk Meadow Open Space
Oct 2015 • Family
On a sunny fall day this place is like heaven. Nicely groomed trails circle a broad open natural meadow of golden buffalo grasses. There are a variety of trail and terrain choices. Some even climb to Bergen Peak. So you can make it as long or short as you like ke. If you ceme to Evergreen and are so inclined, a hike here is memorable.

Different than home hike!

We hiked here twice this vacations and liked the different views and difficulty as there are enough different loops you can sculpture your hike to your own needs and skill level. You share these trails with mountain bikers, but everyone was very courteous and followed the rules.

Perfect Hike for the Casual Hiker
Mar 2013 • Friends
We were looking for a hike for some fairly health 20 somethings that had great views. We settled on O'Fallon Park because of its proximity to downtown Evergreen (just 5 minute drive). We hiked the picnic loop to the meadow loop trail, up Mt Falcon and back down to the picnic area. The hike was about 3 hours and close to 3 miles (It took us awhile because there was lots of snow on the ground). The views were epic at the top and pretty nice throughout. We went on a weekday afternoon and only saw two hikers the whole time. Very peaceful and beautiful.
