The river winds through Durango and has trails, bridges, benches along the river. You can ride a bike, walk or jog along the paths. Plenty of photo opportunities along the river.

Spend part of a day while in Durango and walk this beautiful, well done, path along the Animas River. The trail too, suffers from the problems the homeless have created in Durango, but it isn't hard to pick out the bicyclists that are certainly, without...More

Walking along the colors of fall on both sides of the river trail is a very enjoyable and easy morning stroll to see downtown Durango in the eyes of nature and not as a tourist. Enjoy!

Went for morning runs from downtown (2 blocks) along the river. Both directions beautiful. Weather was very nice even in August.

You can walk along the town of Durango, a small park. There are a couple of bridges to walk over the river. Very calm, quiet, relaxing. Highly recommend

I walk the trail every morning when I am in Durango. It is very peaceful. Beware of the bears early in the morning
