Went for short drive up to spud lake in 4x4 Tahoe with my wife and 2 boys. We decided to explore the road ahead and at a certain point we entered the point of no return... the road is high, it’s narrow with a drop...More

Fun ride. Did it in two wheel drive pickup. Beautiful views. Be prepared to go slow and hang on. Better suited for 4x4. Plan on 2-1/2 hr trip minimum.

We always take this road between Durango and Silverton in the fall to take in the beautiful scenery. It's a bumpy, rough trail and I'd recommend a high-clearance vehicle, but it's not difficult by any means. It's winds through Aspens with beautiful views on the...More

Did this road from just outside Durango up to near Silverton. 4x4 & higher clearance is a must (I was in a toyota 4runner). Very narrow at points, so not for the faint of heart. Great sceanry along the way. Be very cautious if there...More

If you are looking for a scenic short ride, this is a good one just outside of Durango, AZ. There is a climb and then a descent to the creek and back up.

We accessed road near Cascade Village - drove towards Spud Lake and took the hike. This route allowed for view of beaver ponds and easy 1 mile hike.

Every time our kids and grandkids come in the summer they want to go. However, Baker's Bridge is better. We take a picnic lunch to Baker's Bridge and spend several hours. Kids can play in the cold water, skim rocks, fish and play.
