wonderful beautiful, scenic, well-maintained!

This will be our second visit there. When I got a message on my home phone that the dump station was closed we were okay with that's fine. My problem the 2 times I called the 303 number I was hung up towards the end of the convetsation. Not polite.

The hiking trails were well marked and traversed beautiful areas. It is high altitude, so flat landers will find it slow going. Take your time and enjoy God's handiwork. There are numerous trails of various lengths. Don't forget water and sacks if you hike for any length of time. We really enjoyed trail # 6 and overlooks #8 & 9.

I was a 2-day tripper and did some hikes. The park seems especially designed for recreational vehicle camping tho. It appears to be located in a rainy area, but the storms do not last long. Might curtail your outdoors activities if not prepared.

We have been to Divide a couple of times and finally made time to visit this beautiful park. We had a short partial-day stay here. Mainly to hike and geocache. We went to the nice visitors center and enjoyed the movie about the history of the land that makes up the park and the wildlife management area. The staff was... More

Our first visit to Mueller and I'd love to say that it wasn't good because I don't want more competition for sites! The park is in the mountains but the sites are level. The walk uphill to the facilities can be tough for those of us who are elevation challenged! The facilities are clean and beautiful. All the sites and... More

Really can't give a fair review because we never got into the park. Admission was $7 to drive through so we left. We were disappointed.

We switched our campground reservation about a month prior to our trip to Mueller. We had a trip planned to Durango but switched so we could visit family in Colorado Springs. When we made our reservation we had limited campsite options and had to shorten our stay based on availability - we went second weekend in Aug and it was... More

Great park, great sights, great everything. You will need to be physically capable of walking some fairly tough trails (considering the elevation). Our mistake was not packing a lunch and having to leave from being worn out and running low on water otherwise you can spend an entire day here. Be sure to do trail 16 Grouse Mountain Overlook. $7... We have tent camped here several times. We have camped near the camper services building and playground as well as on the Gross Mountain Loop - far end. Our kids liked being close to the playground so they can be with other kids. We adults preferred the back loop as it is quieter, darker, and closer to a trail hub.... More

Mueller State Park is a very maintained park with lots of picnic areas and hiking trails. You will pay $7 fee when entering the park and be sure to pick up the trail map. The trails are well marked and easy to follow. You can take short trails or combine trails for a much longer adventure. The park has very... More
