This is a very large building sitting across the park from the Capitol building. Only saw the outside but it's really nice and we'll manicured. Everything around is paved. It was fenced off due to the protests I believe so no inside tour. The street in front was beautifully painted too.

A beautiful building located at the city centre of Denver, Denver Art Museum and U.S. Mint are just nearby and worth to visit.

I like to drive by here around the holidays because they have the entire building decorated with Christmas lights. You can pull right up in front of the buildings, get out of your car and take photos. It's a great, free activity to do with friends and family. They have other exhibits around here throughout the year as well. It's worth a stop!

The time to really see this is at Christmas! They decorate and put up lights and it is fabulous!! Great thing to actually see while visiting the Capitol.

During the Christmas season (or is it holiday season?) the building features and amazing light show. It also serves as the background for the annual Parade of lights. If you're voluntarily visting any other time, you can certainly appreciate the architecture both inside and out. Try not to visit involuntarily, it means you're likely getting room and board compliments of the city and county of Denver in a very secure room.

My mom and I took a downtown tour, and learned about this building. It's an amazing building. The architecture was unbelievable, and there was a funny story about the eagle above that is holding it's wings in a manner indicating the fact that it's about to defecate. Otherwise, there are a lot of stories about ghosts. This was the first time for us to visit.

The architecture is nice enough. You might be able to steal inside and check out a courtroom or two. One of the ones upstairs has been preserved (and it, like the others, are part of an active courthouse - so this isn't really a tourist spot, so don't get expect easy entry). The best time to view the building is at night between Thanksgiving and Christmas, when the building it spectacularly lit for the holidays. The actual lighting of the lights is a major city event, with dignitaries and large crowds.

While at Civic Park, plan to visit the Colorado State Capital Building, the Denver Library, the Art Museum, the Mint Building, and the Colorado History museum. All within walking distance from the 16th Street Mall and the Colorado Convention Center. Awesome

As an employee who has worked in this building for 23 years, I would like to correct the record by stating that no taxpayer funds are used for the holiday lights. About 1-2 years ago there was a major remodeling effort in this building due to most of the criminal courtrooms being moved to the new Lindsey-Flannigan Courthouse two blocks to the west. The remodeling on the 1st floor was most notable in combining the traffic court clerks and civil court clerks offices, as the county court civil division (including small claims) moved over from the old Adams Mark/Marriott Hotel offices, and the traffic division stayed.
