I try to walk through Civic Center Park every time I am in Denver. Usually I find coffee and bring a book, then enjoy the sunshine and the people watching. Know that this is still an inner city park, traffic and people are a part...More

We went and took in the Denver weather before concert in this park. Many people hanging out and definitely some characters! Great downtown area for a rest or break from sightseeing.

Civic park is mostly Denver City buildings. It is located right across the street from the State Capital and has many different and neat architectural buildings. After you see the capital its a nice park to walk through and see the sites on you way...More

Glad we visited because the park is in the vicinity of several picturesque historic buildings. And the gorgeous Voorhies Seal Fountain bordering the park made me feel like I was in a European city. 😞 But I definitely would recommend visiting during the daylight hours...More

The park is great with beautiful flowers, interesting structures and buildings are around. Too bad that visitors and I guess residents cannot enjoy the park with all the homeless taking over. There was no trouble when we were there but what a mess. The steps...More

We went down to check out the food trucks, there's a lot of variety and had some great food. It's amazing though how much Denver has changed. We now have so many homeless or street people. Not the pretty park I remember, it's no longer...More

My wife and I walked through Civic Center Park on our way from our hotel to the museums. The park seems to be an area where many from the homeless population congregate. That being said, we encountered no problems with anyone while walking through. We...More

This is such a great place for city gatherings, close to lightrail. Love events here, but Pride Weekend is my favorite. One particular issue I've seen lately the past two years is long lines, not as open. I'm not sure if it is because of...More

On one side is the state house with its gold dome; on the other side is city hall. In the middle is the Denver Art Museum, and the public library. There were lots of outdoor sculptures and gardens. This is a must seat for its...More

There is a minimal amount of street parking at meters (average 2 hour max). Best bet if you're going to stay for awhile, park at one of the nearby surface lots or if you don't mind hoofing it, there is a parking garage at... More
