Visited the botanical gardens on a Thursday afternoon as we were waiting on a flight out to St. Louis later that day. The gardens present you with quite a bit of variety and types of gardens. Loved their domed space for the warmer climate flowers.

The Denver Botanic Gardens is a wonderful escape in the heart of the city. Currently, there is an Alexander Caulder exhibit, with various sculptures placed throughout the grounds. And, don't miss the Dale Chihuly installation, it is fabulous!

We have an annual membership and went to see the Calder exhibit. Nice but bit nearly as impressive as the Chilhuli glass exhibit! Still, the gardens are great and well worth the visit!

We visited Denver botanical gardens for Mother's Day with my husbands family. The older women enjoyed it but currently there weren't very many things to look at. I would go for a picnic on the lawn or walking and talking because you run out of...More

Great day so spend a few hours. Love it! There is so much to see here. I have been in spring and full summer. Both excellent times. Great cafe!

I see you can take an uber to get there but not back to hotel, what about a cab? Can you buy your tickets once you get there?

You can buy your tickets when you get there. You can call a cab, but my wife and I walked 4 blocks and got a perfectly fine bus back into town.
Last time I was in Denver, I visited in September and loved it! What is it like in spring? What can I expect to find in bloom?

I agree with most of the other comments, that after mid May is probably better for a visit. The Garden Walk in Park Hill isn't held until mid June. March the daffodils are up, April the tulips are up and fruit trees are in... More
